Stemming from our belief in the importance of connecting Palestinian youth as a main objective in the Welfare Association for Youth (WAY) mission, and realizing the integral role of diaspora Palestinians for Palestine; land and people, WAY and in cooperation with Al Hannouneh Society for Popular Culture hosted the “Know thy heritage” delegation on Saturday 14th June 2014. The delegation comprised of 40 youth, coming from all over the world to visit Palestine htheaded by Mr. Rateb Rabee’ and Mrs. Randa Haddad Rabee’, joined WAY and Al Hannouneh for a Palestinian themed evening featuring Palestinian heritage, folkloric dancing and dinner at the Society’s headquarters in Amman.
Dr. Musa Saleh, Chair of the BoD of Al Hannouneh Society, introduced the society’s vision and work to the group, in addition to emphasizing the importance of our Palestinian heritage and its preservation. The group was also briefed about WAY, our vision and mission in addition to the success story of WAY’s initiative “Cycling for Palestine”, by Dr. Ahmad Bashir.
As this has become an annual tradition, we look forward to meeting the KTH program 2015 delegation to share a Palestinian meal and join hands for Dabkeh and folkloric dance,
